Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made on https://modgrains.com/ (“Site”). We craft each piece with care, and we want you to love what you receive. If something isn’t right, here’s how we can help.
1) Return Eligibility & Window
- 30-day return period: You may request a return within 30 days of delivery.
- Condition: Items must be new, unused, and returned in their original packaging (box, foam, plastic, hardware, manuals).
- Proof of purchase: An order number or receipt is required.
Non-returnable items
- Custom or made-to-order items (including upholstery and finishes made to your specs)
- Sale/clearance items
- Gift cards
2) Damages & Defects
We carefully inspect before dispatch. If your order arrives damaged or with manufacturing defects:
- Report within 7 days of delivery.
- Email modgrains@gmail.com with:
- Order number and contact details
- Clear photos of the item, close-ups of the issue, outer box, inner packaging, and shipping label
Important: Damaged items are not refunded. We’ll replace the item or relevant parts, or arrange a repair at our discretion.
3) How to Start a Return
- Email modgrains@gmail.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason.
- We’ll reply with return instructions and, if approved, a Return Authorization (RMA).
- Ship the item back within 30 days of authorization. Returns without authorization, sent COD, or past the window may be refused.
4) Shipping & Costs
- You are responsible for return shipping to our designated warehouse address (shared in your RMA).
- Non-refundable: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. If we provide a prepaid label, the label cost will be deducted from your refund.
- Use a trackable service and keep proof of postage; Modegrains isn’t responsible for returns lost in transit.
- Large items may require freight; any added services (storage, re-delivery after failed attempt, special handling) are the customer’s responsibility.
International deliveries: Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are the customer’s responsibility and are not refundable.
5) Refunds
- After your return arrives, we’ll inspect it within a reasonable time.
- If approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow 7–10 business days for processing; your bank/card provider may take additional time.
- Deductions may apply for return shipping (if we arranged it), missing parts, damage not due to transit or manufacturing, or signs of use.

6) Exchanges
We offer exchanges only for defective or damaged items of the same product (subject to availability). Start by emailing modgrains@gmail.com with your order number and photos.
7) Order Cancellations
- Standard items: You may request cancellation within 48 hours of placing the order if it hasn’t shipped.
- Custom/made-to-order items: Not eligible for cancellation once production has started.
- To request cancellation, email modgrains@gmail.com. A cancellation is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from us. If the order has shipped, please follow the return process.
8) Shipping Delays & Exceptions
Modegrains is not responsible for delays caused by customs, weather, strikes, or other events beyond our control. If an order is returned to us due to failed delivery attempts or incorrect address, re-delivery fees will apply.
9) Packaging Requirement
All returns must include all original packaging and protective materials. Returns arriving without adequate packaging may be rejected or incur refurbishment deductions.
